KARACHI:JUI-Fazal leaders Maulana Nasir Mahmood Soomro and Maulana Muhabat Khuhro have strongly condemned the lawlessness in Larkana district, especially Larkana city where everyday one or another crime is committed right under the nose of cops.
In a statement issued here on Friday, they said that Larkana has been left at the mercy of thieves, criminals, gangsters and asked how long people of Larkana will suffer and bear the cost of increasing acts of massive criminal activities. They said that incompetent and corrupt rulers have snatched from the people hope of a peace and tranquility. They said Larkana, which was considered the hub of Bhutto, has been handed over to ‘Sifarishi Culture’ due to which thefts, robberies and other heinous criminal activities have become very common.
They said bikers trapped the family of Abbas Shaikh in a car on Overhead Bridge in the limits of Civil Lines Police Station, made them captive and robbed them of golden ornaments, cash and other valuables which we strongly condemn and demanded that all accused involved in this inhuman crime should be arrested at once and brought to justice without loss of time, protection be given to the citizens of Larkana district. They further demanded that those police officers who have been posted on ‘Sifarish’ must also be removed immediately and peace and tranquility should be maintained at all costs forthwith to improve the prevailing bad law and order situation or else, they warned, that they will hold a huge protest demonstration against lawlessness.
