JUI-F rallies against Bahria Town, water scarcity Warns of staging sit-ins outside Governor and CM Houses

LARKANA:JUI-Fazal, Larkana Chapter, took out a large rally here on Wednesday against Bahria Town, distribution of Indus River water to henchmen, increase in street crimes, price hike and unemployment.

The rally started marching from Babul-Islam Mosque and culminated at Jinnah Bagh. The participants were holding party flags in their hands and were shouting slogans in favour of their demands.

Muhbat Khuhro, Mulana Muhammad Ilyas Channa, Hameedullah Siyal, Jamal Mustafa Tunio, Abdul Malik Chandio and others while addressing the participants said that Sindh government had completely failed to provide employment to the people and was also involved in settling outsiders here to convert original residents of Sindh into minority.

They said due to lawlessness, street crimes in Sindh were increasing day by day and people’s lives and properties were not safe. They claimed that despite receipt of proper water share from upstream, artificial water shortage had been created to destroy agriculture in the province.

“MNAs, MPAs and bureaucrats are getting water for their lands but poor farmers and growers are still facing water scarcity and their rights are being usurped, but there seems nobody to question them,” they alleged.

The leaders further said that PPP after showing dreams of making Larkana Paris was treating the city step-motherly which had been converted into a garbage dump without proper healthcare facilities and infrastructure for the residents.

They further said that 18-hour-long electricity outage was being carried out in Larkana which had crippled life here. They said that they would not sit silently now adding only JUI-F had announced protests for the rights of the people of Sindh, and if needed, they will hold protests and sit-ins in front of Governor and Chief Minister Houses.
