Talib Hussain son of Manzoor Ahmed, a juice seller and resident of Shah Khalid Colony, alleged on Monday that his wife and three innocent children have been mysteriously missing since September 27, but the Taimuria police station is not yet filing an FIR of the incident.
In an appeal to the Additional IG Karachi, SSP West, and other senior officials, local juice seller Talib Hussain stated that he returned to his residence at 1 a.m. on September 27 to find it locked. He initially assumed his wife and children might have gone to a relative’s house, but they did not return overnight.
The next morning, Hussain contacted his father-in-law, Muhammad Nawaz, who confirmed that his daughter, Muqaddas, had called him around 4 p.m. the previous day. Her mobile phone has been switched off since then.
The missing persons have been identified as Hussain’s wife, Muqaddas, their eight-year-old daughter Fatima, three-year-old son Muhammad Owais, and one-and-a-half-year-old daughter Jannat. Despite extensive searches among all close relatives, no information about their whereabouts has been found yet.
The distressed father claimed that their domestic life was happy and without any conflict. “I don’t know where my wife and children are. I am searching everywhere, but no clue has been found,” Hussain said in distress.
Hussain further alleged that despite multiple requests to file a report at the Taimuria police station, law enforcement has not yet registered an FIR. The family has now appealed to the Additional IG Karachi, SSP West, and other senior officials for immediate intervention and justice.
Public circles have also expressed concern over the incident and demanded immediate action from the police to recover the missing persons and conduct a transparent investigation into the matter.
