Karachi Mayor Visits Jodia Bazaar, Napier Road, Reviews Sewerage Issues

Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab, accompanied by UC Chairman Muhammad Salman Khan, paid an emergency visit to various areas of the city grappling with severe sewerage issues. These areas included Jodia Bazaar, Sabrani Masjid, Bartan Gali, Turk Masjid, and Napier Road. Accompanied by Chairman Muhammad Salman Khan and a team of municipal officials, including Sewerage Chief Aftab Chandio, the Mayor reviewed the situation firsthand.

Local traders and residents expressed their concerns about the dilapidated infrastructure, stating that the situation was having devastating effects on businesses and daily life. Representatives of the trader community and the administration of various mosques were also present who highlighted the gravity of the situation.

Taking immediate notice of the situation, Mayor Wahab ordered immediate measures to address the sanitation issues. The initial phase will focus on clearing the sewerage blockage, followed by the installation of Tuff Pure blocks.
