KARACHI: Karachi’s West police on Saturday claimed to have arrested two inter-provincial drug kingpins involved in drug trafficking.
According to a police statement, on a tip-off about hashish being smuggled from Balochistan to Karachi, SHO Surjani police conducted an operation near Lyari Sector 51, arrested two accused Muhammad Bashir alias Pathan son of Mehboob Khan and Sahag Bengali son of Mir Jan, and recovered three kilograms of fine quality hashish from their possession.
The police claimed that arrested accused were habitual criminals and had been arrested and jailed several times in drug cases. They said that further interrogation in the drug case was underway as the case had been registered against the accused, who have been handed over to the authorities for further investigation.
