An exchange of fire took place during a police encounter with alleged robbers in the Gulberg area on Wednesday, in which one suspect was arrested in an injured condition while his accomplice managed to escape.
The incident occurred near Block 04 Tariq Ground when authorities stopped two individuals. Following the exchange of fire, law enforcement officials successfully apprehended one assailant, identified as Osama son of Mustaqeem, who was injured during the encounter.
His accomplice managed to flee the scene, and a search for him is underway.
Officials from the Gulberg Police Station recovered a pistol with ammunition and a motorcycle from the scene.
The injured suspect has been shifted to a hospital for medical treatment under police custody.
