MQM Pakistan’s elected representatives in the provincial assembly stated that the residents of Karachi are facing severe issues with load shedding amid intense heat. K-Electric has become a source of trouble for consumers in its traditional manner.

Most areas of Karachi, including Orangi, Korangi, Landhi, New Karachi, North Karachi, Baldia, Saddar, and Surjani, are experiencing unannounced load shedding. Residents claim that due to the monopoly of a single company, they are compelled to obtain electricity solely from it.

In a joint statement issued from the party’s headquarters in Bahadurabad, the assembly members said that due to K-Electric’s unfair practices, not only are commercial activities being affected, but children’s exams have also been severely impacted in recent days. The actions of K-Electric are destroying not only the present of the residents but also the future of the children.
