Karachi Saleh Goth and Clifton: Firing over personal disputes, one person killed, FBR official injured

Today, two separate firing incidents have been reported in Karachi, one of which proved fatal while the other reported injuries, both allegedly resulting from personal disputes. These incidents highlight a disturbing trend of violence linked to interpersonal conflicts in the city.

In the first tragic incident, a 28-year-old man identified as Shahdad, son of Ismail, was killed by gunfire in Saleh Muhammad Goth, Shah Latif Town. According to initial reports, the fatal confrontation arose from a personal dispute.

Following the incident, the deceased’s body was transferred to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for post-mortem examination and other necessary legal requirements. Authorities have initiated a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.

In a separate incident, a Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) official, Inspector Shamsher Lashari, son of Ghulam Lashari, sustained gunshot wounds near Ocean Shopping Mall. Police officials from Clifton police station reported that this attack also stemmed from a personal dispute.

The injured inspector was transferred to a medical facility for immediate treatment. Investigators are actively pursuing leads in this case as well, and further details are expected as the investigation progresses.
