Khairpur 06 suspects running a gambling den arrested, laptop, cash amount and other items recovered, case registered

Authorities have arrested six individuals allegedly involved in the illegal betting business, a criminal activity which a senior police officer has warned is “destroying the young generation” and will be rooted out.

The successful operation was conducted today by a special police team under the direction of Station House Officer (SHO) Imdad Ali Sheikh of the Pir Goth Police Station.

Acting on a tip-off from a secret informant, law enforcement personnel conducted a raid near Kanhar Mor and took six suspects into custody.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Shamsuddin Kanhar, Sabit Ali Kanhar, Raja Kanhar, Naveed Memon, Sher Muhammad Kanhar, and Fahim Haider Chandio.

During the operation, authorities seized three laptops, ten mobile phones, and Rs 12,000 in cash, among other evidence, from the possession of the detainees.

A formal case has been registered against the accused. The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Khairpur, commenting on the matter, stated that such gambling rings are a destructive force for the youth and reiterated the commitment to their complete elimination from the district.
