Kot Mithan: A petrol station was Tuesday gutted in a fire in Fazilpur area of Kot Mithan.

According to the rescue sources, fumes of black smoke rose in the air after the eruption of fire at the petrol station. The sound of a blast at the petrol station was also heard in the entire city; however, no loss of life was reported.

The reason behind the eruption of fire was yet to be known. On information, Rescue 1122 reached the spot and started efforts to extinguish the fire. “The fire flames are intense. It is the petrol tank where the fire is overwhelming. Efforts are being made to bring the fire under control,” said the Rescue 1122.
