The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial cabinet has approved a new act under which special courts will be established for the prompt resolution of property disputes concerning overseas Pakistanis.
The new law, titled “Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Establishment of Special Courts (Overseas Pakistanis’ Properties) Act 2025,” was formally approved in a meeting chaired by the provincial chief minister on Tuesday.
Under the provisions of this act, special judicial bodies will be established with a specific mandate to protect the properties of overseas Pakistanis.
The primary purpose of these courts is to ensure the swift settlement of any related disputes, addressing a long-standing concern of the expatriate community.
This cabinet decision is an acknowledgment of the great services of overseas citizens to the nation, who often stay away from their families while playing their role for the country.
