Peshawar:The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government on Sunday announced to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on May 2 (Monday) at the official level, despite the festive will be celebrated in the rest of the country on May 03 (Tuesday) as per the announcement of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has decided to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr tomorrow. He will offer Eid-ul-Fitr prayers at Governor House Peshawar tomorrow. The provincial cabinet members and government officials will also offer Eid-ul-Fitr prayers with the Chief Minister at Governor’s House.
While making the Eid announcement, Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif said that 130 evidences of the Shawwal moon sighting have been received from different parts of the province. Barrister Saif further said that Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated with religious fervor across the province tomorrow.
