KSE Indices Surge as Trading Volume Hits New Highs

In a robust performance on June 3, the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) indices witnessed significant gains, with both the KSE30 and KSE100 indices climbing sharply. The KSE100 rose by 1,573.07 points, reaching a new level of 120,450.87, while the KSE30 increased by 439.42 points, closing at 36,584.01.

The upward trend reflected a positive shift in market sentiment, with 224 companies reporting gains, overshadowing the 86 that saw declines. Meanwhile, four companies remained unchanged, contributing to a total of 314 actively traded firms.

Trading activity was notably brisk, as the market turnover soared to 578,163,611 shares from the previous 497,940,020, translating into a traded value of 26,827,582,637, up from 23,450,245,149. This surge was further echoed in the market capitalization, which climbed to 14,593,754,608,723 from 14,444,801,578,446.

Market analysts observed that the indices reached new highs, with the KSE30 peaking at 36,679.55 and the KSE100 at 120,693.83 during the day”s trading. This reflects a growing investor confidence, as the exchange continues to gain traction amid favorable market conditions.
