Launch of digital traffic challan ‘One App’ in Rawalpindi, implementation of traffic enforcement system

As a revolutionary step towards modernization of traffic management, Rawalpindi Traffic Police has introduced “One App” from today, which is an advanced digital traffic enforcement system aimed at improving transparency and accountability in issuing traffic fines.

For the first time in the city, traffic violations will be documented with video evidence, providing irrefutable proof to ensure fair and transparent enforcement. The traffic spokesperson said that these recordings will be securely stored and immediately verifiable, facilitating instant checks on ID cards, driving licenses, and First Information Report (FIR) details on the spot.

This system also allows for instant verification of vehicle ownership, fitness certificate, and route permit checks. Additionally, it extends its digital enforcement capabilities to address environmental violations and encroachments, ensuring a comprehensive approach to urban management.

Under this integrated framework, e-challans, FIR status, and criminal records are available in real-time. Citizens can easily access details of their traffic violations through a QR code, promoting transparency and convenience of communication.

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Farhan Aslam emphasized that adopting digital evidence is a step forward to ensure impartial enforcement on the roads. He expressed confidence that the implementation of “One App” will promote discipline among drivers and improve safe travel conditions for the public.
