Law Minister rules out slowing down of work on Munda, Dasu and Diamer-Bhasha dams

ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly resumed its session here at the Parliament House in Islamabad on Tuesday with Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in the chair.

Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar ruled out slowing down of work on Munda, Dasu and Diamer-Bhasha dams. Responding to a calling attention notice moved by Zartaj Gul and others, he said the work on these projects, being executed by the Federal Government, has been continuing as usual.

He expressed the confidence that the deadline set for the completion of these projects will be met with some exceptions. The Law Minister further said the projects announced by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government will be executed by the provincial authorities.

Responding to another calling attention, Minister for Energy Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari informed the House that loadshedding of varied hours is carried out on some feeders of Karachi Electric in Lyari and Azam Basti to curtail losses.

He said there is zero loadshedding on 71 percent of total feeders of Karachi Electric.
