Islamabad Police has launched a new project from Wednesday at the city’s checkpoints, under which learner’s permits are being issued on the spot to drivers found driving without a driving license.

This new initiative targets drivers who are unable to present the required documents during routine checks. Instead of traditional legal proceedings, these individuals are now being given learner’s permits on the spot.

As another measure for public convenience, the department’s “Police Station on Wheels” has also been deployed to improve public access to assistance from law enforcement agencies.

This mobile police unit is currently present at Zero Point. The public can visit this center today to benefit from the various police services available.
