Liquid trees will be installed in Lahore to tackle air pollution, this was officially stated today

Initially, these liquid trees will be strategically installed in the indoor and outdoor environments of large shopping centers, acting as a revolutionary measure in the fight against smog and climate change. This step not only demonstrates the commitment to healthy air quality but also sets an example for other areas facing similar environmental challenges

Punjab has taken a significant step towards solving the air pollution crisis with the introduction of its first EPA-approved “Liquid Tree” in Lahore. This technical marvel, which is part of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s eco-friendly Punjab campaign, is designed to absorb carbon dioxide and emit oxygen to reduce the rising pollution levels in urban areas.

These artificial trees use advanced algae sourced from Sukkur and have been developed in partnership with GC University Faisalabad. The system is equipped with an AI-based calculator that provides real-time monitoring of carbon and oxygen concentrations, ensuring the effective reduction of pollution in the air.
