Member of Provincial Assembly Muhammad Rashid Khan Advocate, while addressing a ceremony held at the central office of the Bhai Khan Welfare Association on Sunday on the birth anniversary of the Poet of the East, Dr. Allama Iqbal,

said that, Dr. Allama Iqbal’s “prophetic poetry” was the primary impetus that filled the youth of the Pakistan Movement with passion and directly led to the creation of the nation.

Khan emphasized that it is essential for the nation’s youth to understand Allama Iqbal’s philosophy of life. He described Pakistan as a sacred trust from their ancestors, stating that all citizens must collectively play a significant role in its continuous construction and development.

In his address, Deputy Director Social Welfare Voluntary Agencies, Shafqat Ali Solangi, described Iqbal as the leader of the subcontinent who realized the plight of Muslims living under British and Hindu dominance. He said that Iqbal felt the need for a separate homeland for them.

Solangi further explained that Dr. Allama Iqbal played a pivotal role in imbuing the nation with the united spirit of “Millat.”

Other speakers, including Abdul Latif Shaikh, Haji Muhammad Yasin Arain, Sajjad Ahmed Khan, and Abdul Ghaffar Sherani, reinforced the idea that Dr. Allama Iqbal’s literary work became a source of awakening and reform for the people.

They concluded that for the country to join the ranks of developed nations and move forward, its younger generation must adhere to the principles outlined in Dr. Allama Iqbal’s philosophy of life.

The event was attended by leaders of various social and welfare organizations, including Muhammad Rafiq Rajput, Khan Iftikhar Ahmed Khan, Shahid Rajput, Naseemullah Khan, Haji Muhammad Ismail Shaikh, and Haji Abdul Hameed Mithu.
