Local – Fire at Old Dhabeji site extinguished, no loss of life

A severe fire that broke out on Sunday at the Al-Hamd Jannat Oil Factory in old Dhabeji has been successfully extinguished following the swift and coordinated efforts of local authorities, averting a potential disaster and ensuring no loss of life.

Assistant Commissioner Mirpur Sakro, Nabi Bux Solangi, confirmed that the fire has been completely brought under control on the direction of Deputy Commissioner Thatta, Sarmad Ali Bhagat. The official credited this successful outcome to the timely and joint intervention of all concerned departments.

The emergency crews of the Fire Brigade, FWO, Police, and Rescue 1122 were praised for their professionalism and effective measures. Their swift actions were instrumental in containing the fire and preventing it from spreading, which, according to officials, significantly reduced the extent of financial losses.

The factory owner, Ali Rauf, expressed his heartfelt gratitude, praising the district administration, all relief agencies, and the local public. He stated that the efficiency in controlling such a large fire with minimal damage was unprecedented in his experience, and described the joint effort as a commendable example of emergency response that prevented a major tragedy.
