Local – SSP Vows Swift Action as Residents Decry Land Grabbing

Residents of the capital today voiced serious concerns over land encroachments and other pressing matters directly to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for Operations, Qazi Ali Raza, during a public forum held at his office.

The open court, conducted as part of an open-door policy initiated on the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, was organised to ensure the immediate redressal of public complaints.

After attentively listening to the concerns presented, SSP Raza issued directives to the relevant officers, ordering them to take legal action on the marked applications within a given time frame. He also mandated that a report on the actions taken be submitted.

On the occasion, the SSP Operations stated that the Islamabad Police follows a zero-tolerance policy regarding violence against women and children, adding that providing maximum relief to the public is a top priority for the force.

He further emphasised that the supremacy of the law will be ensured at all costs. “Every citizen has equal rights, and all applications will be decided on merit,” he affirmed, concluding that the protection of citizens’ lives, property, and dignity is of utmost importance.
