Loralai police attacked, officer injured, police vow to intensify crackdown

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Loralai Range has announced that the police operation against criminal elements will continue fearlessly following an attack that injured a constable. DIG Junaid Ahmed Sheikh affirmed that the force will not bow to any pressure or threats.

The statement came after Constable Dilawar Khan was injured when unknown armed men opened fire on a police party in the Pathan Kot area late Tuesday night.

DIG Sheikh, along with SSP Loralai Malik Muhammad Asghar Usman and other senior officers, visited the injured constable’s home to inquire about his well-being. He met with Constable Khan and his family, praised their high morale, and assured them of the provision of the best medical treatment.

The DIG emphasized that this attack, rather than demoralizing law enforcement personnel, has further boosted their morale. He said that the officers, by risking their lives, have set a practical example of courage, bravery, and professional duty, which has made the entire institution proud.

In recognition of his services, DIG Sheikh announced a cash reward and a certificate of appreciation for Constable Dilawar Khan. He concluded by reiterating that the protection of citizens’ lives and property and the establishment of peace and order are top priorities, and criminals deserve no leniency.
