Major Shikarpur police operation, proclaimed offender with a 50 lakh bounty involved in serious crimes arrested

Authorities in Shikarpur on Thursday arrested a proclaimed offender, Nasrullah Shar, who had a government bounty of 5 million rupees and was wanted in more than two dozen serious crime cases.

According to a statement by DSP Khanpur Rana Nasrullah, the arrest was made during a snap check in the Chohi Shakh area. The operation was part of an ongoing district-wide campaign against criminal elements on the orders of SSP Shikarpur, Muhammad Kaleem.

DSP Khanpur confirmed that the accused, for whose arrest the Sindh government had announced a reward of 5 million rupees, was taken into custody along with a TT pistol and bullets.

The raid was conducted under the supervision of DSP Khanpur and carried out by a team from the Khanpur police station, led by SHO Sartaj Ahmed Jagirani.

The detained individual was reportedly wanted for his involvement in more than 25 cases registered at various police stations in the Larkana district. The alleged crimes include theft, robbery, murder, attempted murder, and encounters with the police.

Authorities have stated that further investigation of the suspect is underway. They expect significant revelations regarding his possible gang affiliations and the identification of his accomplices.

SSP Shikarpur Muhammad Kaleem reiterated the force’s commitment. “Our resolve is to make Shikarpur a peaceful and crime-free district,” he said, adding that no criminal would escape the clutches of the law.
