KHAIRPUR:A Khairpur court Tuesday awarded life imprisonment to a man in the murder of his father.
Second additional district and session judge Khairpur Altaf Husain Dayo announced the judgment of the murder of Ghulam Akbar Laghari, awarding the life imprisonment to convict Bahadur Ali Laghari with a fine of Rs200,000. The judge said that in case of default in the fine payment, the accused will have to undergo a six-month more jail.
According to the prosecution, Bahdur Ali Laghari was accused of killing his father Ghulam Akber Laghari in village Noor Khan Laghari in the jurisdiction of Pir Jo Goth police station on September 20, 2014 when his father refused to marry his daughter Shahida Khatoon with someone on the wish of the accused. The accused was sent to central Jail in police custody.
