KARACHI: A man was shot dead over a land dispute in village Ramazan Mangio near Moro on Thursday.
Two groups of Mangio community developed a dispute over a piece of land and in the firing, a 45-year-old man, Zulfiqar Mangio, was severely injured. The cause behind the killing was stated to be a land dispute. The deceased was rushed to Rural Health Centre in Bandhi town and after first aid, he was being referred to Nawabshah for further treatment but he died on the way. Later, his body was handed over to the heirs.
The police have lodged a report and have started a probe into the incident. A mourning atmosphere was prevalent in the village. More bloodshed is feared as both sides have taken positions with arms to avert more bloodshed.
