A man was shot and wounded after resisting an attempted motorcycle theft in the Sariab Road area of Quetta on Sunday, police said.
According to the police, two unidentified armed men riding a motorcycle intercepted a citizen, identified as Abdul Malik, on Sariab Road and attempted to loot his motorcycle. When he resisted, the armed men opened fire, injuring him before fleeing the scene with the stolen vehicle.
The injured man was rushed to Sandeman Provincial Hospital in Quetta for medical treatment. The police said an investigation had been launched, while search operations and raids were underway to trace and arrest the suspects.
