ISLAMABAD: Special measures need to be taken to overturn the ongoing fiscal deficit and to propel the economic growth of Pakistan, said Federal Minister, Shazia Marri during her media talk after visiting Gem and Jewelry exhibition.

Marri was invited by the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce to visit their exhibition regarding Gems and Jewelry held at a local hotel. The minister visited each stall set up at the event and appreciated the fact that there were participants from all over the country exhibiting their creative talent.

She mentioned that Pakistan is a rich country when it comes to gem stones and emphasized on the fact that there should be optimal utilization of such raw materials. She was pleased that there was international representation at the exhibition as there were stalls set by participants who had come all the way from South Africa, Qatar and Afghanistan.

Marri stressed on the fact that all the reservations of the business community need to be dealt with on immediate basis. The chamber of commerce was assured that all the issues faced by the business community would be forwarded to the relevant ministry and she would personally convey business community reservations to the Prime Minister. She thanked the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce for inviting her to the esteemed exhibition and wished everyone well to work for the utmost prosperity of Pakistan.
