Martyrs Day: CM aide says govt to provide more resources to police

Karachi:Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh for CMIE and IT Department Waqar Mehdi said on Tuesday that Sindh police along with Rangers and other law enforcement agencies had played a key role in restoring law and order in Karachi and rest of the province.

In a message on Police Martyrs Day, Waqar Mehdi paying rich tribute to Sindh Police Jawans, said that the police had rendered their lives for the safety of citizens and country at large, adding that their enormous sacrifices were unforgettable in line of their duty.

He said that the Sindh government had invested massive resources for the modern training, equipment and incentives to Sindh Police Jawans to bring them at par with international standards. He said that the Sindh police had responded positively and its performance remained commendable. He said that special packages had been provided to heirs of martyrs.

Mehdi said that Sindh police is our pride. They destroyed the nefarious designs of anti-state elements in Chinese consulate and Pakistan Stock Exchange attacks and also remained at forefront in Karachi operation. He said that the Sindh government was trying to provide more resources and modern technology to Sindh police so that they could root out anti-state elements for ever.
