Mayor Murtaza Wahab inaugurates Karachi’s first Water Corporation Police Station

Mayor Murtaza Wahab today inaugurated Karachi’s first Water Corporation Police Station. This move aims to protect the city’s infrastructure and public safety, address the issue of water theft, and ensure the protection of critical pipelines.

The establishment of this special police station marks a significant step in protecting Karachi’s water resources. Mayor Wahab emphasized the importance of this project, highlighting the role of modern technology in improving service delivery at the Water Corporation. This initiative aligns with the broader mission, under the leadership of Bilawal Bhutto, to advance the city’s development and provide essential services to its residents.

In addition to the police station, the city has introduced several developments to improve its infrastructure. The addition of 24 modern suction machines will enhance the drainage system across Karachi, addressing long-standing water issues.

Furthermore, the inauguration of four new charging stations for electric vehicles demonstrates the city’s commitment to sustainable development. These stations are expected to meet the growing demand for eco-friendly transportation solutions, contributing to reduced emissions and a greener urban environment.

Mayor Wahab reiterated that providing clean water and efficient drainage facilities is the top priority for the Water Corporation. The newly implemented system is designed to make pipeline repairs and field operations more effective, ensuring a reliable water supply for the city’s population.

As Karachi accelerates work on various urban service projects, these initiatives reflect the administration’s commitment to enhancing the corporation’s capacity and improving the quality of life for its residents.
