KHUZDAR: Measles outbreak have been reported in Seridanser and Tutakachu area of Tehsil Wadh District Khuzdar, PPI learnt on Monday.
According to sources, outbreak of measles has taken the lives of two children namely eight-year-old Muhammad Ikran son of Muhammad Ishaq and four-year-old Maryum daughter of Muhammad Ishaq while 35 persons are reported to be affected by the outbreak of measles.
Residents of the area said that medical teams had not yet arrived. It has been learnt through sources that number of affected persons are between 40 to 45. Residents of the area appealed to MPA Akbar Mengal and District Health Officer, Khuzdar for provision of immediate assistance.
Meanwhile, Government of Balochistan has changed the nomenclature of “Roads Department” as “Communication Department, according to a notification issued by Services and General Administration Department, Government of Balochistan.
