New York, September 29, 2018 (PPI-OT): Today, Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi held a meeting with Foreign Minister Sameh Hassan Shoukry of the Arab Republic of Egypt on the sidelines of the UNGA session in New York. The Foreign Minister expressed Pakistan’s desire for deepening mutually beneficial cooperation with Egypt in diverse fields.
The two Ministers emphasized the need for promoting trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries. They discussed bilateral relations and efforts for strengthening meaningful cooperation in a number of fields using the already existing mechanisms. The two sides agreed to early convening of the Joint Ministerial Commission in this regard.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister underlined that his country greatly valued its relations with Pakistan. He congratulated Foreign Minister Qureshi on assuming the office of the Foreign Minister of Pakistan and expressed his keen desire to work with him for further enhancing the existing cooperation and friendship between Pakistan and Egypt.
