Middle East war as cause of recent economic stress, Pakistan also affected along with world’s major economies

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has attributed the recent economic stress to the Middle East war, which has affected Pakistan along with the world’s major economies.

He acknowledged the difficulties faced by the common man and farmers. Mr. Sharif said that his administration has made every effort to save the people from the rising global fuel prices

The Prime Minister termed the current situation as the “biggest challenge in history” and stressed on national harmony and unity to overcome it.

The transport sector will also benefit, with small trucks receiving seventy thousand rupees per month, large trucks eighty thousand rupees, and passenger buses one hundred thousand rupees per month as a subsidy.

In another relief measure, the Prime Minister declared that fares for the economy class of the railways will not be increased.

He confirmed that all these measures will also be implemented in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, with the federal government committing the necessary financial resources.

Mr Sharif highlighted that the government, in collaboration with the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir, and the Deputy Prime Minister, is working tirelessly to establish peace in the region.

The Prime Minister described the current situation as “the biggest challenge in history” and called for national cohesion and unity to overcome it, pledging that the government will make untiring efforts to bring normalcy back to the lives of the people. He also extended his gratitude to the Chief Ministers of all four provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan, and the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir for their support.
