The extension of the current military leadership is a positive development that will strengthen the safeguarding of national interests, according to Federal Minister for the Board of Investment, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, who also stressed that effective coordination within the national security framework is crucial for the country.
Speaking to the media, the minister emphasized that while political differences will persist, collaboration between the government and the opposition is essential for decisions related to the nation’s welfare. He praised the Speaker of the National Assembly for encouraging constructive dialogue, noting that political stability is a prerequisite for boosting investor confidence.
The official highlighted that Pakistan offers vast investment prospects and is poised for an increase in joint ventures, foreign capital, and new Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs). He stated that global economic progress has been propelled by foreign investment and technology transfer, a model Pakistan is actively pursuing to achieve enduring economic stability.
Mr. Sheikh expressed optimism that the country’s international reputation would continue to improve in the near future.
The minister’s remarks came during the inauguration of a new stretcher lift at Islamia Hospital in Chiniot.
During the event, he acknowledged the longstanding contributions of Anjuman Islamia Chiniot to the health sector. He noted the organization’s extensive work, including eye-care camps that have benefited hundreds of thousands of patients and medical support provided to flood-affected regions. The facilities at Islamia Hospital and its dispensary are being expanded to ensure better healthcare access for the local population.
