QUETTA: Sindh-Balochistan Rice Millers and Traders Association Friday called for holding a protest demonstrations against WAPDA in all districts and talukas of Sindh.
While addressing media persons, Central President of Sindh Balochistan Rice Millers and Traders Association Haji Qamaruddin Gopang and Central General Secretary Asad Ali Tunio have said that we are boycotting the submission of heavy bills of WAPDA now and we are calling our millers to come to the protest. They said that they have instructed all the members to boycott the submission of bills by stopping the millions and go to the press club on 10th December 2022 and hold a protest press conference in their own area, because we will not tolerate WAPDA’s unjust misbehavior anymore,
Central General Secretary Asad Tunio added that we have already written against WAPDA to the Prime Minister, CEO of WAPDA and other top officials through letters about the increased electricity bills. Even then, he added, the problem could not be solved and we are forced to protest. He said that if the problem is not solved, we will boycott the payment of bills for the month of December, 2022.
