Srinagar, May 02, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has denounced the detention of dozens of youth in South Kashmir. Taking to Twitter, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq strongly condemned the daily arrest spree of youth from Pulwama and Shopian.
In his tweet he said, “Continued repression in South Kashmir is heart rending. Unless all those who claim to speak for fundamental human rights of all don’t speak up, people of Kashmir will continue to be at the receiving end.”
Ahead of the third phase of polling for Islamabad parliamentary constituency scheduled on 6th May, dozens of youth were detained from various villages in Shopian and Pulwama districts during the past few days.
