Special Assistant to the Provincial Minister for Home, Babar Yousafzai, said on Wednesday that mobile internet services in Quetta city had been temporarily suspended for a few hours due to certain security concerns.
In a statement issued here, he said that the protection of people’s lives and property was the government’s top priority and that the measure had been taken to ensure the safety of citizens. He added, ‘We apologize to the public for this temporary inconvenience.’
Urging citizens not to pay attention to rumours, he said that mobile internet services would be restored as soon as the situation returned to normal.
