The Chief Traffic Officer of Rawalpindi, in a statement today, has urged citizens to obtain their driving licenses promptly, alongside the deployment of mobile licensing vans to serve remote areas.
This initiative aims to provide accessible facilities to residents of remote areas, and traffic police officials have issued a comprehensive weekly schedule for the mobile service.
Starting the week, the van will be present at Car Chowk Dhok Syedan and Dhok Chiragh Din on Tuesday, then move to Bhatta Chowk on Chakri Road and Jabar Bazaar in Gujar Khan on Wednesday.
On Thursday, the mobile unit will operate at UC Kontrila in Gujar Khan and Pir Wadhai Bus Stand. It will then provide licensing facilities at Jhawra Picket Dhamyal and Chaklala Bazaar on Friday.
Towards the end of the week, the vehicle will be stationed at UC Mughal Pari and Barf Khana Chowk on Saturday. The week will conclude with a special test for rickshaw drivers at the old Waran Depot in Saddar on Sunday.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Farhan Aslam highlighted the efficiency of the process, stating that learner permits and motorcyclist licenses are being issued on the same day.
The CTO stated that licensing centers across the district are engaged in serving the public, and operations continue uninterrupted even during Ramadan.
The CTO commented, “Having a license while driving is the hallmark of a confident driver,” and encouraged the public to take full advantage of this opportunity.
