Mother, son killed, girl injured in fire near Dadu

Dadu:A mother and her son were killed while a girl sustained injuries in a transformer-inducted fire near Dadu on Thursday.

The fire broke out in the house due to sparkle from an electric transformer in village Morcho near Pat Sharif in district Dadu. As a result, a woman, Shaher Banu, her son Mohammad Mithal, received severe burn injuries and died on the spot while a girl Heer sustained injuries. The bodies and injured were rushed to a local hospital for medico-legal formalities and treatment, respectively. The bodies were later handed over to the heirs while the girl’s condition was stated to be out of danger.

Load Shedding: Despite claims of Naya Pakistan by Prime Minister Imran Khan, a prolonged power load shedding continued to strike the people of village Morcho and Pat Sharif amid a heatwave. The power load shedding is being carried out in these areas on a daily basis, making life of people miserable.

The business and social activities have also been affected by power outages while the heat has hit people hard. There is no respite in power outages despite Imran Khan’s government has completed two years in the power, who used to make big claims during pre-election sit-ins that power load-shedding would be brought under control when he came to power.
