A tragic accident occurred near the Chorangi Gate at Northern Bypass today when a motorcycle tire suddenly burst, resulting in injuries to six people, including a woman and children. All the victims belonged to the same family and were immediately shifted to Hub Civil Hospital via Edhi ambulance.
The injured were identified as:
Irfan, son of Sarfaraz, aged 27
Fareeba, daughter of Sarfaraz, aged 11
Mehnsa, daughter of Irfan, aged 3
Yousuf, son of Irfan, aged 5
Fatima, daughter of Irfan, aged 9 months
Farzana, wife of Irfan, aged 22
According to eyewitnesses, the motorcycle was speeding when its tire suddenly burst, causing the vehicle to go out of control and crash on the road.
Passersby immediately informed rescue services, who transferred the injured to the hospital.
Police officials stated that preliminary investigations suggest the accident occurred due to poor vehicle maintenance and a weakened tire. The incident temporarily disrupted traffic flow in the area, which was later restored.
Citizens have been urged to regularly maintain their vehicles to avoid such unfortunate incidents in the future.
