During a routine check on Wednesday morning near Samama Shopping Mall, Mubeena Town police signaled speedy, suspicious motorcyclists to stop; upon their failure to stop, an exchange of fire occurred during the pursuit. As the suspects were fleeing from University Road towards the Met Office area, the police called for additional reinforcements. During this, three suspects were arrested in an injured condition, while one managed to escape on a motorcycle.
Officials identified the injured individuals as Ghulam Hussain Saraiki, Shahid, and Kashif. After the encounter, law enforcement agencies recovered three pistols, several mobile phones, cash, and a motorcycle from the scene, indicating that the suspects may be involved in other crimes. The police are searching for the escaped suspect.
