Reports were received today of multiple police encounters and firing incidents with alleged robbers in various districts of Karachi, resulting in citizens being injured, several arrests made, and individuals hospitalized.
In Korangi District, an exchange of fire took place between law enforcement agencies and alleged criminals in 100 Quarters Bengali Para. One robber, identified as Laiq Muhammad son of Hanif, was caught in an injured state, while his accomplice managed to escape from the scene. Police recovered a pistol and bullets, and the injured suspect has been shifted for medical aid while investigations are ongoing.
Similarly, in Central District, near Ghousia Mosque in FB Area Block 11, an injured alleged robber, Asif son of Abdul Kareem, was arrested following an encounter. Officers seized a pistol and bullets from the scene. The injured person has been shifted to the hospital, and further investigation is underway.
In South District, too, a police encounter took place near Hassan Hospital. After an exchange of fire, two alleged robbers were arrested. One suspect, Asif alias Yasir son of Nazeer Hussain, was injured, while the other was identified as Sahil son of Muhammad Kamil. Authorities seized two pistols with bullets and a motorcycle. The injured person was admitted for treatment.
