Multistory complex aimed at providing offices to all deptts: ACS

SIBI:Abdul Saboor Kakar, Additional Chief Secretary (Dev), Planning and Development Department has said multistory office complex for various departments was aimed at providing offices to all departments.

These views were expressed by him during inspection of multi-story office complex for various departments here on Friday. He said that the approved cost of the scheme was Rs1,200, Sibi component was Rs 200 million while overall were Rs 140 million expenditures. He said that the scheme, which had been capped, needed to be uncapped after proper assessment.

Kakar said that the said scheme was aimed at providing offices to all departments, adding that in the presence of the said scheme, new schemes meant for constructing offices for various departments needed to be looked into so that duplication and wastage of resources be avoided.

He said that in Sibi, this building would be sufficed for almost all offices. Kakar issued instructions to Commissioner, Sibi Division and Deputy Commissioner, Sibi to thoroughly examine all such schemes and detailed report thereof along with way forward be submitted forthwith.

Similarly, Abdul Saboor Kakar, Additional Chief Secretary (Dev), Planning and Development Department accompanied by Abdullah Khan, Secretary (Implementation), Planning and Development Department inspected scheme “Widening/ Reconditioning of Bakhtiarabad to Lehri Road N-65 to Lehri District Sibi” being constructed at the estimated cost of Rs. 399.991 Million.

Giving briefing to Abdul Saboor Kakar, it was informed that Rs 100 million had been allocated for the said scheme. Problems identified included un-satisfactory survey of road site, improper design, poor PC-I, therefore, work had been stopped owing to the reason that revision was required. Rejecting revision of the project, Abdul Saboor Kakar issued directives to the concerned authorities that the work be resumed and expedited for timely completion ensuring quality of work.

Additional Chief Secretary (Dev), Planning and Development Department said that no compromise would be done on quality of work. He directed the concerned authorities to complete the project so that people of the area could be benefited.
