Murad Ali Shah says PSL event to be held successfully

Karachi, February 12, 2018 (PPI-OT): Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has urged both the MQM factions to sit together and resolve your issues amicably. “Fighting on petty issues is not a political wisdom it would drag you [MQM] away from service to the people.” This he said while talking to media jus after witnessing the scrutiny of PPP candidates for Senate election for the category of Technocrats, Women and Minority.

He said that the politics of mudslinging, abusing others and levelling baseless allegations cannot be termed as politics. “The politics is the name of service to the people,” he said and added levelling allegations and developing groupings in MQM ranks is against political spirit and political people could not involve in such destructive activities. ‘This all has dragged them [MQM] away from service to their people and the people of Karachi are witnessing with their naked eyes how their elected people are behaving and fighting with each other,” he said.

Murad Shah said that PPP would field candidates on all the constituencies in the forthcoming general elections and ‘I sure our candidates would return in majority,” he said. Talking about PSL, the chief minister said that the event would be held in a festive manner with proper security. ‘We have held such events successfully and Inshallah the final of PSL would be held in much better way,” he said.

Earlier, the chief minister led PPP Candidates for senate election along with their proposers and seconders to the provincial election commission of Pakistan where their nomination papers were scrutinized and the Returning officer declared them accepted. The Provincial Election Commissioner/returning officer scrutinized the nomination papers of PPP candidates, including Dr Sikandar Mendhro, Taj Hyder, Dr Younis Soomro, Rukhsana Zuberi, Anthony Naveed, Anwer Lal Dean and Quratul Ain Marri, Krishu Bai alias Krishna and Nida Khuhro. The returning officer declared their papers approved.
