NAB Mandates Affidavits for Financial Scam Allegations at Upcoming Balochistan Forum

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in Balochistan has introduced stringent new measures for citizens lodging complaints against major financial scams, now requiring a sworn affidavit on stamp paper and strictly prohibiting anonymous allegations.

These revised procedures will be in effect during the bureau”s upcoming “Open Court” (Khuli Kachehri), a public forum scheduled for Thursday, 29th January 2026, according to an official report today.

The session will take place from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the NAB (Balochistan) Complex on Shahra-e-Gulistan Road, Quetta Cantt.

The monthly event, held on the last Thursday of every month, provides a platform for the public to directly voice their grievances concerning significant financial corruption within the province. The Director General of NAB (Balochistan) will personally preside over the proceedings to address the concerns of attendees.

According to a statement from a NAB spokesperson, under the revised standard operating procedure, only verified complaints that fall within the bureau”s legal purview will be pursued.

All submissions must now include the complainant”s full name with parentage, a copy of their Computerised National Identity Card, a complete postal address, contact information such as a mobile or landline number, and a signature or thumb impression.

The bureau has also reiterated that citizens can lodge complaints through several other channels. These include submissions by post or in person at its main office on Shahra-e-Gulistan Road or its complaints office at the DC office on Anscombe Road, as well as via its official email at [email protected].
