Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad today announced that special celebrations and events will be organised across the city on 9 May to commemorate the success of Operation ‘Bunyan-un-Marsoos.’
The day, he stated, would be remembered as a beacon of national unity, bravery, sacrifice, and the safeguarding of the country’s sovereignty.
In a statement, Mr Murad affirmed that the triumph of Operation ‘Bunyan-un-Marsoos’ has significantly boosted national morale and further solidified Pakistan’s peace, stability, and international standing. He added that the entire nation takes immense pride in its valiant armed forces, who displayed extraordinary courage and resilience.
The Deputy Mayor further articulated that the populace of Pakistan and its national institutions stand united against adversarial forces. He stressed that the malicious intentions of anti-state elements would continue to be thwarted through collective solidarity and strength.
He also highlighted that the Pakistan Peoples Party has consistently championed national security, democratic principles, and public cohesion, and remains committed to contributing to the nation”s progress and stability.
Salman Abdullah Murad urged the public, particularly the youth, to actively participate in the 9 May festivities, demonstrating their patriotism and national allegiance. He also paid homage to the martyrs, military veterans, and all individuals who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the country”s peace and security.
Concluding his remarks, the Deputy Mayor asserted that this achievement was not merely the success of a military endeavour, but unequivocal evidence that Pakistan stands cohesive, robust, and resolute.
