National Party rallies against unfar distribution of relief goods

Kohlu: National Party on Sunday staged a rally and held a protest demonstration here on Sunday against the unfair distribution of relief goods among the rain-flood affectees.

The rally was taken out from the District Secretariat of National Party Kohlu. Participants of rally, carrying banners and placards in support of their demands, marched through different roads and reached Traffic Chowk where a protest demonstration was held.

Addressing the protest demonstration, Mehrab Baloch, district President, National Party, Kohlu, Ali Nawaz Marri, Nur Khan Dashti and Yasin Baloch said that lawlessness, maladministration and corruption in district Kohlu had made the lives of the people miserable.

They said that the recent downpour had wreaked havoc in different areas of the district, causing losses of precious lives, washing away livestock and destroying standing crops, but the district administration, including Deputy Commissioner, Kohlu and Tehsildars were distributing relief goods amongst their blue eyed persons instead of distributing among the affected families.

They said relief goods had not yet been provided to the flood affected families, adding that the district Kohlu was confronted with the worst maladministration. They said in the urban areas of Kohlu city, pure drinking water was not available.

They called on Chief Secretary Balochistan, Abdul Aziz Uqaili to take notice of the Lawlessness, maladministration and corruption in district Kohlu and initiate strict disciplinary proceedings against the responsible officers.

Protest demonstration was also addressed by Aziz Marri, Fazal Marri, and Allah Bakhsh Marri. Earlier, a protest rally was taken out from the district Secretariat of National Party, Kohlu. Participants of rally, carrying banners and holding placards in support of their demands, marched through different roads and reached Traffic Chowk where a protest demonstration was held.
