(NATIONAL): PTI leader Adil, five others acquitted in kidnapping

UMERKOT:The court of Civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate Umerkot Saturday acquitted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice President and the leader of parliamentary party in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh in a kidnapping case, who later termed the court verdict a win of truth and justice.

Sheikh reached Umerkot from Karachi today and appeared before the court of the civil judge and judicial magistrate Umerkot Rasool Bux Daris, who announced the final verdict in Kunri attack case and acquitted him, Jansher Junejo, Haji Nisar Arain, Muhammad Owais, Muhammad Umar and Syed Murtaza Shah.

Sheikh told that on November 1, 2019, they came to Kunri to offer condolence for the martyrs of Tezgam train fire tragedy, when Taimor Talpur attacked them. However, the local police instead of registering the case of PTI leaders lodged a fake case of kidnapping against them. He said today the verdict of this case is announced and it is the win of truth and justice. In this case, Advocate Bhagwan Das and Imtiaz Channa represented Adil.
