Need for a New Political Party Against Dynastic Politics in Azad Kashmir: Khokhar

Muhammad Tahir Khokhar, the central president of PasbaneWatan Pakistan, has strongly criticized the role of traditional political parties in Azad Kashmir. He stated that these parties have been usurping the rights of the Kashmiri people and have pushed them into a quagmire of problems. Tahir Khokhar emphasized that the time has come to form a new political party in Azad Kashmir that can address the deprivations of the people.

He pointed out that dynastic politicians have taken over the politics of Azad Kashmir, ruling generation after generation. Tahir Khokhar stressed that the people are still forced to live as if in the Stone Age. He mentioned that a few families, instead of putting the region on the path of development, have trapped it in backwardness, unemployment, and a lack of basic amenities.

Tahir Khokhar further said that Azad Kashmir has not received anything in terms of gas, an international airport, or royalties. He stated that traditional and dynastic rulers are only busy safeguarding their power, and the time has come for the people to free themselves from dynastic politics.

He praised the achievements of the Public Action Committee, noting that what the rulers couldn’t provide to the people, the Public Action Committee delivered. Tahir Khokhar appealed to the Public Action Committee to join the new political party and work towards solving the issues of Azad Kashmir.

Tahir Khokhar expressed his desire to establish a party that would provide employment to the youth, set up industries in the state, modernize the education system, and initiate public welfare projects. He said that an independent, selfsufficient, and dignified state is the dream of the Kashmiri people, and it is time to turn this dream into reality.
