President of Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), Junaid Naqi, has commended Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on the project of a new corridor connecting Qayumabad to Karachi Port on Shahrah-e-Faisal. He expressed hope that this corridor would prove to be a game changer for the country’s logistics and transport network. Naqi believes that this project will significantly improve the national supply and transportation system.
The KATI president emphasized the urgent need for the development of the road network from Karachi Port to Qayumabad to ensure seamless access to the motorway for port-related transportation. He highlighted the importance of development initiatives in the Korangi Industrial Area, which plays a vital role in the national economy.
Naqi called for immediate action to address the infrastructural challenges faced by industries across Karachi, particularly dilapidated roads and inadequate sewerage systems. He offered KATI’s full support to the Sindh administration in resolving these issues through joint efforts.
Naqi also emphasized the national importance of revitalizing Karachi’s master plan and cited the city’s significant contribution to Pakistan’s exports and tax revenue. He expressed hope that the Sindh administration would prioritize crucial infrastructure upgrades in Karachi, focusing on projects such as Shahrah-e-Faisal, water supply, and sewerage management, which he believes could have a significant impact on the city, the province, and the entire country.
