New Sindh Governor visits Mazar-e-Quaid

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan’s (MQM-P) Kamran Khan Tessori, who took oath as Sindh governor yesterday, on Tuesday visited the Quaid’s mausoleum in Karachi to pay homage to the Father of The Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

On this occasion, Tessori also offered prayers for the progress of country and the province. He also wrote remarks in the visitors’ book. Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Kamran Tessori was sworn in as the 34th Governor of Sindh on Monday following President Dr Arif Alvi approved his appointment as the new Governor of Sindh under sub-clause one of Article 101 of the Constitution.

The post of governorship fell vacant since resignation tendered by PTI leader Imran Ismael. Later, Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Khan was appointed as acting Governor Sindh who too quit, paving the way for Mr Tessori to become new Sindh governor.
