SHIKARPUR:A ninth class boy and a girl were killed over the notorious rite of Karo-Kari in Shikarpur on Saturday.
According to rescue sources, Munawar Mir Jatt and girl Iqbal Khaton were killed over the allegations of Karo-kari within the limits of Steward Ganj police station in Shikarpur. The accused fled to unknown destination after committing the crime.
The bodies were shifted to a local hospital for medico-legal formalities and later handed over to the heirs. The police have started a probe into the incident. A mourning atmosphere prevailed in the area. More bloodshed is feared in the locality. The father of the victim youth informed that his son was a ninth class student and was killed by his friends who had invited him to visit them.
